Welcome!
Here are two important questions for you:
When did we start thinking it’s acceptable not to love what we do for a living?
And why aren’t enough of us happy and healthy enough while when we are doing it?
Think about it. Work takes up more than forty hours of our lives every week. Then there’s weekend work, work from home, or times we have to stay late at the office. Shouldn’t that time be spent doing what we love?
Where you spend 8 or 9 or even 10 or 12 hours a day—and whether you spend your time contributing to the world for good or watching the clock tick—matters not just to you, but to all of us.
Doing what you love means you are doing a number of amazing things: working on things that you’re passionate about; feeling creatively turned on, taking your gift and using it; and sharing your talent for the sake of others. And listening to the voice that tells you to pursue your passion, talent or skills because they are essential to living an awesome, fulfilled and productive life and you deserve one.
When did we forget this?
It’s Time for a Revolution
It’s time for a revolutionary way of thinking. It’s time to stop caring what others think about you and your dreams, it’s time to stop listening to the excuses you’ve given for why things can’t change. and time to start taking the right kind of care of yourself so you can live the life you love.
I’m here to tell you that it’s your choice: you can fill each rotation around the sun with passion and purposed-packed experiences and relationships, doing what you love; or you can settle for believing that “that kind of life” is meant for other people.
“Why should it be me?” you might think. Well, why should it not be you?
It’s time to rethink what you think about your future.
The Fundamentals
There are three underlying questions this website regularly addresses in different ways:
First: How can I do what I love for a living?
Second: How can I be happy and healthy as much as possible while doing it?
Third: How can I begin making those things happen right away and maintain them?
It’s my mission to help you find the answers to these questions in your life.
I’ve already sought them in my own (and continue to do so). I’ve connected the dots, created solutions, game plans and strategies that work and I’ve spent the last ten years helping people like you do the same.
On the journey to your own answers we will:
•Focus on bringing more of what I call The Fundamentals of a life you love into your own:
Passion, Purpose, Peace and Abundance.
•Say farewell to the assumptions of what you can and can’t do that you may have been carrying around since childhood.
• Finally start to wake up filled with excitement about the possibility of what lies ahead that day, that week, this life.
• Stop feeling selfish when you do things that are good for you, and begin understanding the power of doing things that are within your self-interest.
• Start changing the behavioral & thought patterns that are holding you back from a brilliant life.
• Fearlessly tell anyone, from your best friend to your uncle to the dentist about what you want to do with your life and what makes you tick.
• Change your self-talk. The internal dialogues you have can make your life an amazing, forward moving force for good.
• Reconnect with joy and excitement on a daily basis.
For many of you, this will be the first time in years you’ve really examined what isn’t working for you and what you really want to happen in your life. The process can be frightening at first.
But here’s an important commitment I want you to make to yourself:
Do not give up the real estate in your brain to fear and doubt.
Why?
Because what you’re most afraid of doing is often the same thing that is going to set you free. And, most of the time, we waste our energy on the things that aren’t really worth worrying about.
Words don’t cut it.
Of course, I know it’s not enough just to tell someone to “do what you love.”
It’s a little bit more complicated. We can’t get by without money to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. We have to meet our personal, financial and social needs and responsibilities.
I won’t give you fluffy and puffy advice that isn’t based in reality. And I won’t just give you what I like to call “high fives and rainbows” (although those two things are awesome, don’t get me wrong).
I’m not here to just tell you to have a passion and purpose-driven life, I will show you how it’s done.
I’ll give you the same plan I’ve I’ve shared with people I’ve worked with who, like you, wanted guidance on their path to creating a successful life on their own terms. It’s the same plan I trust and follow in my own life.
These are the same strategies I’ve used myself, that have helped me build two successful businesses in the past ten years but more than that, they’ve helped me create a life that I really love.
I’ve already made the journey. Your struggles were my struggles, your doubts were my doubts, and I know how to fix and face them.
I’m here to share with you everything I’ve learned so you can get to where you want to be, and get there faster.
The mindset that changes everything.
In the course of growing my businesses and building a life full of passion and purpose that I love there’s one mindset that guided me to personal and professional success more than any other. Here it is once again (just in case you missed it the first time, I’m going to repeat it so I can make sure you commit it to memory!):
“Life is not a dress rehearsal.”
Remembering that directs what I do and how I live each day. It keeps me focused on my goals.
It wasn’t always this way for me. For a long time, I held back from doing the things that I knew would make me happy. I had created reasons why I couldn’t live the life I loved. Some of my favorites included:
It’s too late; I didn’t study the right things in college; there are already other people doing what I want to do; I am not “enough” and so on…
But in the end all those reasons couldn’t drown out the voice in my heading telling me there had to be more, I wanted more, I could create something more, I deserved more. After ignoring that voice for years, one day something unexpected happened: I listened to it.
My life has been forever changed, profoundly changed, for the better. I have decades to go before I make my grand exit and I know those years will be filled with joy and meaning.
Consider this site a 24/7 pep assembly for your soul and me a bit of a success interventionist. I’m fully committed to getting you hooked on what you do for a living and lead an exceptional life while you’re doing it.
I’m here to change the way you work and be the catalyst that makes what you want start happening…and start happening now! Because the moment you start doing the right things for yourself, the better you feel.
And the better your life will start to go.
Let’s Start!
Don’t worry about where you are right now.
Everything up to this point is meant to be part of the journey and lesson, and now is the time for you to take control to shape your future.
The possibilities are endless. It just takes reaching that pivotal moment when you decide, “I’m ready, let’s begin.”
It’s time to make good on the plans you’ve created for yourself and the promises you made yourself.
The curtain is up, the lights are on, let’s make this one magical show!
